Android 2.2 FROYO Update for Motorola Droid download

Are you a Droid X user? If you are and you haven’t gotten the Android 2.2 for you droid x device, now you have to take this chance to update your Android 2.2 FROYO. You need a sd card to download the Android 2.2 FROYO Update, ready? Go with the following setps to finish the installation.

Motorola Droid X Android 2.2

download and install:

1) Download update.zip here!
2) Copy update.zip to the root of your SD card.
3) Shut off your DROID.
4) Turn on your DROID while holding down the physical X key on the keyboard.
5) When you see the exclamation image, like below, press the volume up and camera keys at the same time.
6) Using the D-Pad select the “apply sdcard:update.zip” and press the center (gold) button.

  • Hi, this update for Droid X…to get Android OS v2.2 on. But your pic is not showing a Motorola Droid X. You mentioned about holding X during boot up, Droid X doesn’t have a actualy keyboard. Is this for a different phone?

  • yeah! thanks for commenting. we find that we have made some mistakes indeed. we would update it right now. this Android OS v2.2 can be suitable for Droid, Droid X and even the upcoming Droid 2
