Motorola Droid BIONIC software update will release by OTA to your when the carrier enables it available. You will receive a prompt when the lastest update got launched, if you are busy with something, you can pdefer the software update as many as 5 times, but it must be accepted after the 5th request. As well, you can also navigate into Verizon Wireless site to check whether the lastest update is released or not.

To launch your own software update:

1. Press the Menu key from the Home Screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap About phone.
4. Tap System updates.
