Tips: how to fix Motorola Droid BIONIC WiFi issue

Motorola Droid BIONIC WiFi issue generally perform several different cases. - Try to perform Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > Touch and hold network > Forget network to forget the conncetion so that you can reinitialize with the router to re-scan for available networks and re-establish connection
- If your are using the WEP encryption, check to make sure that the key configured on the router matches the key entered on the phone
- Re-enter the key on the phone to match the key configured on the router. Make sure that the encryption type and security settings match on the router and phone.
- The wireless network you’re attempting to connect to may be configured for static IP addresses only. Check with the system administrator for an IP address assignment.
- Unplug the power from your router, turn the phone off. Plug back in your router first, then wait for 1 minute and then turn on your phone.
- Check the signal bar to ensure you have strong connection. It will make difference when you have weak signal.

My Bionic doesnt connect to my home wifi either. This is a very frustrating issue.

yeah, we couldn’t agree with you any more…it would kill me that the connection fails continually when i am browsing web pages or updating few info online. so have you read these solutions we provided here. As your case, we suggest you refer to can’t connect to internet. if these solution still work nothing helpful, let us know so that we will research the better solution with our experienced team workers.

Try changing your router to bg mode only. Turn off n on the router. That fixed my problem.

In my opinion there is a software fault in the wifi driver. My Bionic initially had this unstable wifi issue. But after a system update the problem was solved. Unfortunately the most recent system update 5.9.902.XT875 has caused the issue to return. Very frustrating… usually power cycling my router allows my Bionic to connect, but the problem returns withing hours.
