Tips: how to set contacts on Motorola Droid Pro

Featuring a PC-like browsing experience with Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1, a 1 GHz super-fast processor and corporate access, you’ll have plenty of time for work, play and everything in between. If you have already bought one Motorola Droid Pro device, you have to do a lot of work about your phone contacts. How can I set contacts on my Motorola Droid Pro? How do I add or remove a contact on my Motorola Droid Pro phone? What should I do to backup my phone contacts? I do have no ideas about it. Ok, calm down, follow these words below.
Your handset will automatically save contacts you CREATE on the handset to both your Gmail Account and Verizon Backup Assist account (if VBA is set-up). You can deselect the Google option if you have both accounts set-up.
- Open Contacts at bottom right of homescreen or from within applications tray
- Press Menu hard key.
- Select + More, select Settings.
- Contacts Settings screen will be displayed.
If you are able to deselect an account, it will not be greyed out.
- Deselect “Google” (specific gmail address will be listed) to stop new contact entries from syncing to that Gmail / Google account.
- Deselect “Phone” to stop new contact entries from syncing to Verizon Backup Assist. (typically greyed out).
Create contacts
- Open Contacts at bottom right of homescreen or from within applications tray
- Select
to begin to enter a new contact or press Menu hard key, then select Add contact.

Edit or delete contacts
Tap the contact, then press Menu > Edit contact or Delete contact.
Tip: When editing a contact, you can set a ringtone, address, and other details that will be saved on your phone.
Linking contacts
When you add an account or add contacts in other ways (such as by exchanging email), Contacts attempts to join the new contact information with existing contacts. But you can also join contacts manually using the Link contact feature within contact application menu.
To link contacts:
- Open your contacts or favorites.
- Touch the contact you want to add information to.This is the contact you will see in Contacts after you link contacts together.
- Press Menu and touch Link contactTouch the contact whose information you want to join with the first contact.The information from the second contact is added to the first contact, and the second contact is no longer displayed in the Contacts list.
- To unlink a contact, touch the contact whose information you want to detach with the first contact. Press Menu and touch Unlink contact
