Checking for system updates

System updates does not manually check for updates. It allows installing update packages that were previously downloaded, but not installed.

1. From the Home screen, select the applications tab (lower-left corner).
   
2. Select Settings.
   
3. Select Software update.
   
4. Touch Check new.
   
5. Verify the system is up to date.
   If a system update is available, touch Restart & Install.
6. The device will restart and install the system update

What you need to know:

• The software update requires at least 40% battery level if not connected to an external power source and 20% or more if connected.

If you are outside the Verizon Wireless coverage area, a system update notice will not be received.
