when will Verizon release software update for Samsung Brightside to solve T9 texting issue

Hi, there. Are there any Samsung Brightside cellphone users here who know about when Verizon Wireless or Samsung Mobile will launch the software update to fix Brightside T9 texting issue. I have been told the release of this Brightside software update for a long time by Verizon Community leader. While, I have not gotten any lastest information about this software upgrade up to now. Is it still being exploring in the lab or never be released at all?
As a matter of fact, I do not care about the upgrade of my Brightside cellphone at all. I only want to solve the T9 texting issue since I was fascinated by its slide full keyboard and full touchscreen, which is also the reason why I bought it. Now, it is a totoally different story.

By the way. do you have the same issue when you tr to use t9 to text on the front touchscreen it started freezing and restarting automatically? You might have any idea to deal with and you ought to have made it. Please help. It won’t work if you perform a hard reset.
Waiting for the software update? But nothing to do, do we? If I were the carrier or manufacturer, I would, you know, release the software upgrade soon.

Verizon refuses to address this issue, and the fact that the Calendar and Alarm functions additionally do not work. Verizon’s attitude is “too bad so sad” and as such, I have filed a formal complaint with the Mass. Attorney General’s office against the Verizon store from which I purchased my Samsung Brightside.Verizon has neglected, refused and failed to fix the phone, and now that the time to return has expired, Verizon will not issue a refund NOR offer an identical phone that works. Verizon continues to sell defective, flawed and faulty Samsung Brightside cell phones for a profit and customers have no recourse when the 14 day return period expires. Good luck. Perhaps the AG’s office will have more muscle than the customers in Mass. who are experiencing the same issues.

I too am having the same issue with the Verizon Samsung Brightside. The calendar and alert function do not work correctly. when an appt is added to the calendar it will save as a different date thus not alerting you with a reminder. verizon has none about this defect in this model for months and they continue to sell this phone, knowing the calendar does not work. I had not bought just 1 of these phones but 3 for different family members. Verizon has also basically told me “too bad so sad” there is nothing they will do to compensate for the defective phones they knowingly sold me. i have filed a complaint with the BBB, added reviews to different forums about this phone,I have also sent an email to a newspaper reporter and I will continue to contact other newspapers, my attorney general and anyone else I can tell this to. DONT buy the Verizon Samsung Brightside and if you did please do all you can to help stop them.

My Navigator no longer works…shows Ap Expired and Verizon states that it is a Brightside problem and I should watch for a software update. WHAT!

HAD MY SAMSUNG BRIGHTSIDE FOR LESS THAN A MONTH AND ALARM AND CALENDAR DO NOT WORK, SHUTS ITSELF OFF AND WON’T OPEN PHOTO TEXTS RIGHT AWAY. bEEN TO VERIZON AND THEY WON’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.SAMSUNG AND VERIZON DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
